More "showcasing" in NY / by Liz Morgan

Folks know I love to travel, tour and take regional theatre gigs but I’ve been committed to planting my roots more firmly in NYC as an actor, writer, teaching artist and activist.

So…some of my favorite acting credits from the past season include my return to the Harlem Shakespeare Festival for workshop productions of Julius Caesar and Othello, both with all-female casts.

Coincidentally, after collaborating on both projects with Trezana Beverley, best known for her Tony-winning performance in the original choreopoem, for colored girls…, I found myself working on a new choreopoem, Testify with The CutOut Theater in Brooklyn.  I’ve been easing back into the hustle after enjoying the holidays with my family, but this weekend you can catch me in my first show of 2016, The Troll King Rises at Columbia MFA.

And more on how writing etc. has factored in the past year in New York soon!! Everything moves so fast in this city, one forgets to blog about it.
